A few months ago we welcomed Josh Meike to the CITY team as the Human Resources Business Partner. With a diverse background spanning over two decades of navigating various roles in customer service, sales, and leadership, Josh Meike is ready to contribute to the growth here at CITY.

Josh’s proudest moments in his professional career are centered around helping people achieve their potential. He draws energy from watching others succeed and grow, emphasizing the importance of personal development and mentorship.

I feel when you put the needs, goals, and growth of others as a priority over your own, you not only grow them as a person, but you also grow yourself as a leader. In my humble opinion, there are three main pillars to any companies success, and I feel they go in this order: People – Customers – Business (financial) Results. If you nail the first two, the results will be there.

Josh calls Independence, Iowa, (15 minutes south of the Oelwein, IA plant) home but is very familar with the surrounding area having graduated from Oelwein High School.

Josh brings extensive leadership to the CITY team after working his way to the senior managment team with GoDaddy. Josh was with GoDaddy for over a decade and they too, had a position named HR Business Partner. That was always a position that Josh found enticing.

One of the main differences in this new role at CITY, as the HR Business Partner, Josh will oversee the HR team, assist with overall HR compliance, but unlike past HR positions, Josh will spend a third of his time creating employee development tracks for all positions company wide.

“I can say with confidence, I have made the right choice to be a part of the CITY family. What I felt in the interview process is what I have seen in these first few days. CITY is a company that lives their values and honestly cares about the people that will help it grow. It’s refreshing to be a part of that.”

Outside of work, Josh enjoys coaching youth sports, spending time outdoors, and cherishing moments with his family. He takes pride in being a dedicated father of five and a supportive husband to his wife, Tiffany.
