OELWEIN, Iowa — Iowa Premium Beef (IPB) has partnered with a 108-year-old Oelwein business, making this client City Workplace Uniforms and Mat’s largest account in history.

“We are adding a completely new route, dedicating a route representative to just this account.” City Workplace Vice President and General Manager Colin Wetlaufer said. “Anytime you bring in that kind of volume, it will warrant an increase in jobs or allow us to be more efficient and keep our current employees busy.”

Wetlaufer said when they are fully operating, it should add up to 5-10,000 lbs. a week in volume. This would be a 5-8 percent increase to City’s current workload.

Sales Manager Chriss Carsello said it usually takes six months to prepare for a client this size. IPB only took three months.

“I will simply say the entire City team was involved in the Iowa Premium Beef account,” Carsello said. “We all did our part and pulled together and to meet IPB’s expectations.”

Two of City’s national competitors were also provided quotes to service IPB.
“We were the only independent company, and they really wanted to keep their money in the local Iowa community,” Wetlaufer said. We have really learned that our best customer relations that last the longest are local private companies like Iowa Premium Beef.”

Interested applicants for the route sales representative should pick up an application or apply online at www.cityuniformsandmats.com.
