There is a new but familiar face working from CITY’s Des Moines branch. Barney Webb has joined CITY’s Des Moines service department after a referral from his older sister Hildy Webb.

Sales Representative Hildy Webb was hired last October to sell rental opportunities within the Des Moines and metro area and she said the last 11 months have been a learning process.

“I really enjoy the freedom of it all.  I definitely don’t like to be caged up so this opportunity has been great.,” Hildy said. “I am very proud to be part of a company that strives for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience!.”

After being a part of the family owned company, Hildy continued promoting the company after hours.

“I have really enjoyed working with Mark Ballo (Des Moines Regional Manager) this year.  He’s a great coach and leader. ” Hildy said. “When I found out my brother was looking for a new opportunity, I immediately let him know about the route apprentice position. This was the first time I had the chance to get him on my team. I knew Mark would recognize his potential as well.”

Barney Webb was in banking but he said he was looking for a change where he could make a bigger impact.

“Hildy mentioned the job to me so I took her up on it to see what it was like,” Barney said. “I rode on a route and I could see myself doing exactly this.”

Des Moines Regional Manager Mark Ballo emphasizes the importance of CITY’s vision, mission, and values and he wants a team to continue to grow CITY’s Des Moines service area.

“It was an awesome idea of Hildy’s. She understands how great this company is and Barney will help us continue to move forward,” Ballo said.

Barney will be a route apprentice where he will be assisting or covering a route when a route rep. is gone or on vacation.

“Right now our goal is for Barney to learn the routes and eventually have him as another route service representative out of our Des Moines depot.” Ballo said.

“Knowing that my success directly affects my brother and his family is a huge motivation for me,” Hildy said. “I love my brother and I want him to grow and succeed in the company also. We can make an impact on the company together, and that’s one of the coolest feelings!! #TeamWebb.”
