2015 Employees Recognized

Over 75 percent of City Workplace Uniforms and Mats employees gathered January 8, 2016 in appreciation of their work in 2015. President Roger Wetlaufer said he believes an appreciation party is important for the employees and that is why CITY has held a party every year for as long as he can remember.

“It is important to recognize our employees’ achievements including their length of service with the company. We put a big emphasis on loyalty, so we think an appreciation party makes a lot of sense,” Wetlaufer said. “I would like to thank our employees for their efforts on our behalf. We really have wonderful people who put a lot into the service we provide to our customers.”

Each employee and their guest enjoyed a catered meal, an appreciation gift, and some employees received a recognition award. There were ten employees who reached milestone service years. Steve Radloff received the top years of service recognition with 40 years of service, and Mark Ballo and Terry Shaffer each celebrated their 35th year of service. Others who received years of service recognition were Cassie Eikenberry at 20 years, Linda Franks and Mike Kerns each at 15 years, Corey Ruff, Ann Steggall, and Joe Steggall at 10 years and Jamie Randall at 5 years.

Beyond the years of service recognition, Tim Nuss was voted as the Route Service Representative of the Year, Linda Franks earned the Highest Production Award, and Carl Kelley received the Rookie of the Year Award.

A new honor was given to four employees who excelled in providing great leadership and had a positive impact on the company in honor of CITY’s founder Herb Wetlaufer. Mark Ballo, Cassie Eikenberry, Corey Ruff, and Melinda Fratzke were each nominated and chosen as the 2015 Founder’s award recipients.

“It was a great night and a great turnout. I thought everyone had a lot of fun. It just feels really good to tell our people thanks,” Wetlaufer said.
