For three decades, residents of Waukon, Iowa and the surrounding area have consistently relied on Kious Kountry Auto Collision Center to service their collision and auto body repairs.

 

“People have put their trust in us for many years, and we have customers that have been coming to us since the beginning,” Beau Bennett, co-owner said. “We know when a customer gets back into their vehicle that it is safe.

 

 

Kirk Kious purchased his very first auto body shop from his uncle in 1989, and has been serving the local area including Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin, and Southeast Minnesota ever since.

 

Beau Bennett joined the shop right out of high school in 1994. About two years ago, he purchased part of the business and is now co-owner.

 

“I’ve had a strong passion for cars ever since I was in high school,” Bennett said. “I like old cars, new cars, and I like making things run and making them look good.”

 

Kious Kountry’s motto is to treat everybody like family. With that mentality alongside their upstanding quality work, the business has grown to be exceedingly successful.

 

“Northeast Iowa is a close community, and it is tight-knit,” Bennett said. “A lot of our customers have helped us grow. And a lot of that has been due to word-of-mouth and our friends. We’ve more or less done well based on our stand-alone reputation.”

 

With state-of-the-art equipment and consistent training, Kious Kountry believes in setting their business up for success so that they can service “anything that’s on wheels.”

 

“With all the changes in these newer vehicles and all the new technology that has come into play, we’ve had to keep all our guys trained and up-to-date with everything,” Bennett said. “If we can’t do something, we work to get the training and equipment that we need so we can do it for our customers.”

 

Kious Kountry utilizes training provided by I-CAR, an organization that is dedicated to providing skills and information to businesses in the collision repair industry. With a click of the mouse, Kious Kountry can obtain original equipment manufacturer repair procedures for every vehicle that comes through its doors.

 

Safety is an important factor when repairing a vehicle, and Kious Kountry takes safety seriously.

 

“I wouldn’t want my daughter, my wife, or any of my friends in a vehicle that isn’t safe,” Bennett said. “We try to treat every customer that same way with the same thought process in mind.”

 

Kious Kountry takes pride in its quality service and “doing it the way it’s supposed to be done.” Customers come from all over the area to receive that hometown, family service for which Kious Kountry is known.

 

“Our customer service area is about a 100-mile radius,” Bennett said. “We hope we continue to grow in the future because we want to provide the best possible service we can for our customers.”
