CITY employees gathered recently for the annual employee appreciation party on February 1, 2019.

“A lot of great things happened to make 2018 was a great year” President Colin Wetlaufer announced. “It is great to get together for the night to say thank you for all that you do.”

Three individual employees, in particular, were spotlighted for the rookie of the year, production employee of the year, and route service representative of the year.

Rookie of the Year was awarded to Andrew Paul as a route service representative.

Service Manager Corey Ruff said, “Even though he has only been with us a short while, he has done a lot of great things, BIG things. We are really glad to have him and he has been a great addition to our team.”

Production Employee of the Year was awarded to Deb Athey.

Production Team Captain Melissa Spicer said, “She is great at what she does and she always has a great attitude.” Production Team Captain Eric Mast said, “She is always willing to put in the extra effort and always wants to learn more about the next step. “

Route Service Representative of the Year was awarded to Dustin Graves.

“When he started he took on a number of different roles for us. He puts in the time to get things straighten out and when he took a route, he has made it into one of our stronger routes,” S

ervice Manager Corey Ruff said.

After the awards, Schnor covered some new projects that are underway and coming up, as well as showed his appreciation.

“Thank you everyone for what you’ve done for CITY this year. I appreciate everything so far this year and I appreciate everything last year. We have some good things in store for 2019 so I am looking forward to it,” Director of Operations Ken Schnor said.

Wetlaufer concluded the evening with his prediction for 2019.

“It is so easy with our departments not being able to interact with each other everyday to be segmented, but a huge shoutout and a speical thank you to our production department who works their butts off and gets it done.” Wetlaufer said. “And I promise you, we have the best service reps in the country and you would be really proud with how they represent your work to the customer base.”

“It is going to be a record 2019. It is going to be an awesome year and I am so happy to be a part of it,” Wetlaufer concluded.
