NEW DIRECTION IN FIRST AID

The CITY First Aid division is going in a new direction.  CITY has hired their first sales manager for facility services, Kevin Wormwood. According to Mark, the Des Moines regional manager, CITY wants to grow the first aid division, and growing the division requires a manager with strong leadership and someone that embraces the company’s culture which is why this role was introduced. Within any department or division, you need a manager to oversee a team of people.

WHY KEVIN WORMWOOD

Kevin is a good culture fit and cares about setting goals and achieving them. “We believe he is a proven winner” said Des Moines regional manager Mark Ballo.

According to Mark, he believes that Kevin’s demeanor embraces CITY’s core values and culture.  Kevin had heard great things about CITY from an old coworker, Hildy Webb, CITY Sales Rep.  In his interview, he enjoyed meeting everyone and learning more about CITY overall. Kevin’s past work experience growing and expanding business helped him land his new position. Leadership and development are areas that have always sparked Kevin’s interest. “I’ve always enjoyed helping people. I’m passionate about the development of people,” Kevin said.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Kevin said he wants to see growth and expansion within the division over the next few years. CITY is creating partnerships with customers by fulfilling their first aid and safety needs. Kevin’s goal is to service clients throughout Iowa as well as Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska and create more brand awareness. The first aid division opens up more opportunities to serve customers, build relationships, and grow CITY as a whole.  According to Mark Ballo, to keep first aid going in the right direction, it will take a strong culture as well as providing transparent service that meets the clients’ needs and exceeds their expectations.

WHY FIRST AID WAS INTRODUCED TO CITY

First aid was introduced to help make things clean and simple for CITY customers and make their lives easier.  “By offering and providing another service to clients, customers can focus more on their business,” said Mark Ballo. The first aid division opens up opportunities to reach new potential clients. There is no binding contract for first aid sales which allows the division to build quicker relationships and make sales with customers.

WHAT CAN CITY EXPECT TO SEE COMING UP

CITY can expect to see more representatives in the first aid division including first aid sales and service representatives. In

addition to growing the team, they can expect to see more strategic partnerships. Recently, CITY started working with the Accel Group which is an insurance provider and safety assessment company.  They will deepen CITY’s relationships with clients from a safety standpoint.
