CITY Laundering has a new Production Supervisor. Team Captain Katie Buhman has been promoted into the new role effective immediately.

Buhman has been with CITY for 14 years and directly oversees 30 individuals throughout the uniform and floor mat processing facility.

“Whatever area Katie has been in, she’s mastered it and she’s been incredibly consistent,” CITY President, Colin Wetlaufer said.

Buhman’s leadership started two years ago when she was promoted into a team lead position overseeing a handful of employees. According to Buhman, a typical workday in her new role includes making sure each production employee has what they need to be productive and keeps all the processing on track.

“I look forward to seeing the continuous growth of CITY and I’m excited for this new role because I am a people person and I want to be a good leader,” Buhman said. “I want to be the leader that all employees want, and I want people to better themselves and the company.”

When CITY began searching for the production supervisor, Buhman was the logical next choice, according to Wetlaufer.

“We are incredibly excited that she is ready for this opportunity. She’s going to do fantastic, and she’s going to be a big part of CITY’s production journey for a long, long time,” Wetlaufer said.

To be part of the CITY production team, CITY is accepting applications on www.cleanandsimplecareers.com or walk in candidates are welcomed at 1700 S. Frederick Ave. Oelwein, IA 50662.
