CITY Acquires Lake Superior Laundry and Enters Healthcare Market

SUPERIOR, WI., and PINE CITY, MN. – CITY Laundering Co. is proud to announce the recent acquisition of Lake Superior Laundry. This acquisition expands CITY’s offerings creating a new full-service healthcare division. CITY will continue to operate both healthcare plants in the region.

“We have been very careful on selecting the right partner to launch into the healthcare market and are excited to have found the right fit.  Since the beginning working with Betsy [Blaufuss, Owner of Lake Superior Laundry] and her team has been great and helped to create fantastic synergy between our cultures,” Colin Wetlaufer, President of CITY, said.

 

Currently celebrating 116 years in business, CITY is a 4th generation company that is known for investing in the latest technology to best serve its client base. According to Wetlaufer, CITY is proud to welcome all of Lake Superior Laundry’s employees and customers into the family business.

Family-owned and operated, CITY continues to expand its regional footprint; with the acquisition of Lake Superior Laundry facilities, CITY now has 7 locations servicing Iowa, Minnesota, Eastern Nebraska and South Dakota, and Western Wisconsin.
