Another Successful Company Picnic

City Workplace Uniforms and Mat hosted another company picnic for their employees and their families to meet and spend the day together.

Over 100 people were in attendance at the event, which was hosted on Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at the Oelwein City Park.
“This was the best picnic I can remember,” President Roger Wetlaufer said. ”I think it is a little something we can do for employees. We work hard at City and it is nice to have some ‘down time’ as well. I think most of the people who come really enjoy it.”

The warm weather allowed families and children to enjoy the park, the bean bag tournament, the art and canvas event, and a small petting zoo with miniature horse rides.
“We have never had a miniature horse at a company picnic before and I know my grandchildren loved it,” City employee Alicia Ertmann said. “Sometimes it can be challenging to entertain that many children, but City did a great job with the park, petting zoo, and the arts and crafts.”
Service Manager Ken Schnor and Route Service Representative Dennis Nuss won a tablet for placing first in the bean bag tournament and Dan Hillman won the employee raffle of a Blu-Ray Player.
“I believe the biggest benefit is the chance to see people outside of work and meet their families and just kick back and have a good time,” Wetlaufer said.
