After celebrating their 110th year in business, CITY employees gathered for their annual employee appreciation party earlier this month.

“It’s always great to take time out and recognize individuals for their accomplishment and contributions to the company’s success over the past year,” Vice President and General Manager Colin Wetlaufer said.

CITY’s tenured list of employees is one of the reasons why Wetlaufer believes there is success within the company.

This past year, there were ten employees who reached milestone service years. Dan Hillman received the top years of service recognition with 35 years, and Rick Mast celebrated his 25th year of service. Marie Suhr was recognized for her 15 years of service. Dennis Nuss, Eric Mast, Brad Jipson, and Randy Jipson each received their 10 years of service award and Shane McKinney, Valerie Wetlaufer and Faith Bartels celebrated 5 years.

Aside from service awards, Al Voigt was voted Route Service Representative of the Year, Alicia Ertmann earned the title of Production Employee of the Year, Lisa Chappell was named 2016 Rookie of the Year, and Emily Novotny was awarded the CITY Founder’s Award.

“With such a great team, we are excited for the success to continue into 2017,”Wetlaufer said.
