Unwavering Dedication; Tim Nuss Retires After 25 Years at CITY

In the world of high service expectations, there are those who leave a lasting impact through their dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment. Tim Nuss, a valuable member of our CITY family, is a true embodiment of the great people who have helped CITY become a century-old business.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tim for my whole career and he’s the type of person you’re always happy to see. He always takes care of the customer and makes sure his job is done right. He is someone who wakes up and takes care of business while caring about other people. It’s just been an absolute pleasure to work with him and I’ll miss him.” said Colin Wetlaufer, CITY President.

Tim started at CITY in August of 1998 after being recruited by a fellow colleague and since his first day, Tim’s infectious smile and hearty laugh created an atmosphere of positivity and warmth wherever he went.

Whether it was a bustling manufacturer, a thriving car dealership, or a small local business, Tim’s presence brought more than just a necessary service – it brought a sense of reliability and trust that our clients valued deeply.

“Building relationships and making friends is what makes every day fun. I’ll tell a joke, have a conversation, and it just makes the day a lot more enjoyable. I spend time outside of work with some of my customers, they’ve just become good friends of mine over the years,” said Tim Nuss.

With a remarkable 25-year journey at CITY, Tim’s contributions have not only shaped CITY as an organization but have left an indelible mark on the lives of those he has served and worked closely with.

“Congratulations Tim, you will be dearly missed by all of us here and your customers. Thank you for everything,” said Ken Schnor, CITY Regional Manager.

As Tim embarks on this new chapter of his life, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on his retirement.

“I’m looking forward to doing more of my favorite things like hunting and spending a lot of time with my wife traveling,” said Tim Nuss.

While Tim’s CITY chapter comes to an end, his impact on Route 5 will continue to ripple through our CITY family. From one Tim to another, after 2 1/2 years at CITY, Tim Downs will be taking over route 5.

“I started working with Tim when I went on my first ride-along and it always stuck with me just how special he made every customer feel. Something I’ve learned from him is his organization and thoroughness, he would always take the extra time to do what it takes to go the extra mile. I hope to continue those relationships that he started. Tim, we’re going to miss you around here, happy retirement!” said Tim Downs.
